and surrounding Districts
The program will next run in January 2025 at the Deloraine Council Pool.

Registration day is Thursday 2nd January, 2025, from 10am to 2pm. Children must be enrolled in advance for the program on this day.

Swim program days are Monday to Friday 6th - 10th January and 13th-17th January, from 10am to 2pm.

Description of the program

Qualified instructors are employed to run these classes. Each participant has one 30 minute lesson at the same time each day.
Children are graded according to ability, not family group. It is hoped that children will be encouraged to work towards a swimming goal and so improve from year to year.

Children under the age of 5 cannot be enrolled.

It is advisable for parents/guardians to purchase rash vests. Boys need to wear a proper bathing costume, not shorts to the knee.

The Rotary Club of Deloraine has been running this program for over 30 years as a free community service for the children of the Deloraine and district areas. It is aimed at providing those children who cannot swim with the ability to save themselves and/or others.
